My hero!!!
Sadly only recently did I start getting familiar with Blag Flag and Henry Rollins. I was lucky to watch a few of his shows on youtube. His stories are all very inspiring and show the potential humans can achieve. Do yourself a favor and watch any of his live performances (I mean the spoken word ones, but the Black Flag ones are great too) This particular show was especially significant because he is from DC and it was the night before election day. A list of stories I'll try to remember for records:
1. TSA Dike Bike (a.k.a. Janet Napolitino LOL) old man
2. 24/7 P Funk Ramones Devo Party
3. Hardcore DIY Touring in the 80s (loving house wife that makes a gillion pancakes, eggs, and does your laundry for you; sleeping on disgusting floors; seeing the ramones live in someone's house with TOO MANY dicks in the butt; buying vans for $1)
4. Not wanting to be CRUSHED by Romney; Old conservative males with saggy tits that can no longer get Le Vag
5. Abraham Lincoln and punk rock instructing us to be obligated to helping each other out and also being responsible for our country's well being
6. Making fun of the elliptical and daily runs with some Fox news lady
7. Regardless of who gets elected, none of us are getting out of this century alive and we won't stand for modern problem bull shit
8. Principles of live performance: No water, no stopping, ticket is a contract between performer and audience: FAILURE TO DELIVER
9. Replying back to fan mail/fan interaction: the girl that sent him naked pics of herself lol; the guy whos friend died and gave henry a black wristband; the guy that was super fat but was encouraged by henry to live on
10. Henry Rollins is against the clock and will raise as much hell as he can before he's gone.
Sigh there were only XXL shirt sizes so I got a DVD of his 50th birthday live performance!
